ROOTS IVY SCHOOL: The institution was established in April 1988 at 74 Harley Street Rawalpindi by Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq (Aizaz-e-Fazeelat), a dedicated and committed teacher with enthusiasm and missionary spirit in the field of education. She took the challenge of introducing modern Methodology of Montessori System.
All Roots International Schools & Colleges campuses accept students from March through August. The entire academic year is open for registration. Yearly exams are held in May/June, and the academic session, which starts in August/September each year, consists of two terms. Junior school and higher school applicants must take an admissions test at the time of admission.
All RISC admission offices across the country have admission application forms and Prospectuses available on site. A student will be chosen based on merit and exam qualification. The management, school administration, and academic department's decision is final and unchangeable.
Note: Prospectuses and admission forms are available at campuses nationwide of Roots International Schools & Colleges for a fee of Rs. 1400.

Students must also (if applicable) pay for Roots computerized student ID card, annual fees, Roots Early Years branded bag, school badge, information and communication technology (ICT) costs, computers, lab fee, and scientific laboratory expenses at the time of admission. Students shall pay for University of Cambridge (CIE), ed-excel examination and federal board registration and charges to Roots International Schools, which is paid directly to the testing bodies such as British Council, Pakistan by the Roots International Schools. Note: RISC tuition fee is payable on 12 calendar month basis (for more detailed information please read Tuition & Fees Policy) RISC tuition & other fees are subject to annual review. Scholarships are available in selected campuses and on merit in AS & A/ HSSC levels.

The Higher Secondary Program, on the other hand, is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in a range of subjects including ICS, I. Com, F.A., F.Sc.

The major subjects which are taken in Faculty in Science (F.Sc) are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics English and Computer Science while others are awarded Faculty in Arts (F.A.) certificate. The Students concentrating on business subjects are awarded Intermediate in Commerce (I.Com).
